NCSICA donates DVD collection of each open rehearsal, talent show and Master Class session from years 1986-2007 to the Appalachian State University Hayes School of Music. Accepting the donation is Dr. William Harbinson, Dean. L-R, Marta Force, president NCSICA, Dr Clinton Parker, ret, ASU Academic Affairs and Dr Hoggards assistant conductor for many years, Dr William Harbinson, and Lee Mabe, videographer. Our thanks to Nancy Grandfortuna, Yesterday Once More, for transferring many videotapes to DVD format making this presentation possible.

CONGRATULATIONS to Dr. R Clinton Parker for being selected as the 2009 North Carolina American Choral Directors Lara Hoggard Award for Distinguished Service to Choral Music in North Carolina Award. This award was presented during the NC Music Educators Convention in Winston Salem November 10, 2008. In attendance in support of Clinton were former NCSICA staff members and founders: Sandy Beam, Duane Best, Rachel Dunn, June Snow and David Traynham. Current NCSICA staff attending included: Sharon Barnett, Lee Mabe, Sam Doyle, Eric Johnson, Ann Pratt, Kathryn Sauls, Marta Force,Bobby Chilton, (representing ASU Hayes School of Music: Dr. W Harbinson), Anne Saxon, Steve Williams, Dottie Carruthers, Laura Sam, Tom Shelton and Patti Fulk.

Congratulations to Sallie and Peter Pollack on the birth of  Zachary Paul at 7:55 AM on August 6, 2008   He weighed in at 7 pounds and 4.5 ounces and is 19.5 inches long
