NCSICA donates DVD collection
of each open rehearsal, talent show and Master Class session from years
1986-2007 to the Appalachian State University Hayes School of Music.
Accepting the donation is Dr. William Harbinson, Dean.

CONGRATULATIONS to Dr. R
Clinton Parker for being selected as the 2009 North Carolina American
Choral Directors Lara Hoggard Award for Distinguished Service to Choral
Music in North Carolina Award. This award was presented during the NC
Music Educators Convention in Winston Salem November 10, 2008.
In attendance in support of Clinton were former NCSICA staff members and
founders: Sandy Beam, Duane Best, Rachel Dunn, June Snow and David
Traynham. Current NCSICA staff attending included: Sharon Barnett, Lee
Mabe, Sam Doyle, Eric Johnson, Ann Pratt, Kathryn Sauls, Marta
Force,Bobby Chilton, (representing ASU Hayes School of Music: Dr. W
Harbinson), Anne Saxon, Steve Williams, Dottie Carruthers, Laura Sam,
Tom Shelton and Patti Fulk. |
